Dr. Nikhil Shrikant Agarkhedkar
M.B.B.S, M.S, M.Ch. (Plastic and Reconstructive Microvascular surgeon)
He has graduated from B.Y.L Nair Hospital, Mumbai in 2003. He completed Post-graduation in General Surgery (MS) from Sir J.J. Hospital, Mumbai in 2008. Later he pursued super specialisation in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery from Nair Hospital, Mumbai. During this tenure he also got a chance to work as an observer at the Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at “Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.”
Post MCh he worked as an Assistant Professor at Seth G.S. Medical College & K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai for 1 year. He then went to Taiwan as an International visiting Scholar in the ‘Reconstructive Microsurgery’ and ‘Craniofacial Division’, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, where he got the opportunity to work with the world renowned Prof. Fu Chen Wei.
He has two International and Six National publications to his credit. He is the receiver of the prestigious Mc Neil Prize for Best Audiovisual Presentation at APSICON-2010on “Role of Pre Contouring of reconstruction Plate in Mandible Reconstruction”. He also won the 1st Prize in Paper Presentation at Scientific Meeting of the Staff Society of B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai, year 2009-2010, his topic being “Role of Rapid Prototype (Stereolithography) model in Head and Neck Reconstruction”.
At present he is working as Consultant Plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon at Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Jahangir Hospital, Pune.
